wayyyy back in the spring of 2010 (nearly THREE years ago!), when i was just 24 years young and justin, 29, we went on a mini road trip with our wonderful photographers out to the salton sea area to take our engagement photos.

and now that you are caught up...
we wandered around the area, which is rather large considering one man built it, and had a blast taking photos in all the various caverns and nooks. now, justin and i are not jesus people- i'm an atheist and he is "agnostic", but we certainly appreciated the hard work, dedication, and love that went into creating and preserving salvation mountain.
my mom cut out an article awhile back which stated Leonard is no longer on the mountain and is in a home ): but salvation mountain still stands, so if you ever find yourself near the salton sea, you MUST take a trip there!

These are incredible pictures and a beautiful place! I would definitely love to check this place out, it would be quite a road trip from Phoenix, but might just be worth it!

OMG... a blogger admitting to being an atheist! This is so refreshing to me. I'm agnostic with very conflicted views on religion, and I am by no means a Jesus person. I feel like people are us are rare in blog land!

Love that place! About two years ago, I was working at a doctor's office and someone brought Leonard in for a checkup. He was so nice and asked me if I had ever been to Salvation Mountain. :)
