unfortunately, we didn't end up going on that hike i mentioned friday. i need some shoes before i can hike again- these new balances have seen better days, for sure ... i'm definitely one of those people that can have a trip ruined due to improper shoe chioce (exhibit a: two bruised toenails coming down this hike)
since hiking wasn't happening, kim came over and we ate tacos for dinner and breakfast bowls the following morning.

justin, ever the plant enthusiast, came home with all these cactus, too... we've started planting palm trees and cactus outside our bedroom window- i cannot wait for them to grow and fill in the area! our goal is to literally have a jungle of plants on this ranch of ours. and we are well on our way (:
other new developments at the glass ranch: we finally picked up a baker's rack from costco. it's serves several purposes: 1. clearing up space on our counter 2. display and 3. to hide that wall that still needs fixing and a good coat of chalkboard paint. one day, i will post pictures of what this area used to look like.. holy broom closet and awkward cupboard... but that's another post for another day...

that about sums up the weekend at the ranch.
we also partied with our friends out in huntington beach.
