St. George Dinosaur Museum

one thing i knew i had to do while in southern utah was visit the dinosaur museum in st. george.  we've driven by it the past few times we've been out that way, but never have we actually stopped in. i knew this trip would be awesome for dinosaur visiting since we were surrounded by the kids all weekend- and, really, what child (or grown adult) wants to be cooped up in a house all day?

so we gathered all the munchkins up and off to the dino museum we went!

one of the first exhibits is a playroom, where children of all ages can color, make origami, or play with felt dinosaurs. fun stuff to really get the kids excited..

the dino museum is located right where they found dinosaur tracks! so the area surrounding the museum is covered in dig tools: boxes, crates, pick axes, tarps covering up recent findings... oh, and those red rocks and snowy mountains, too (:

this sign gets me every time. i don't know why, but i think it's pretty cute (;

the above two pictures are of our view from the hotel room: snow capped mountain to the left and red rocky desert to the right. seriously, utah? i do love you.

it was a wonderful day at the museum,
and justin and i thoroughly enjoyed it
(probably more than the kids, but hey..)

have you ever been to this museum?
or any other dinosaur museum?
